“Better for you” is your 7-day program to improve yourself

I seem to have lost count of the number of times I have read and heard about celebrity marriages that almost failed left and right. I don’t care (and I don’t care); it seems strange that we often see movie and TV stars as impeccable people, living a fairy-tale life of wealth and magic. I think we all need to stop sticking our heads in the clouds and face reality.

There are many ways to lose your self-esteem, despite how mundane they are. But no matter what happens, we must all try not to lose our sense of self.

So, what does it take to be above others? Here are some things you can think about and improve that should be enough for a week.

1. Know your goal

Are you walking through life with little direction to find happiness, health, and prosperity? Set your life goal or mission statement and you will have your own unique compass that will lead you to your truth in the north every time.

It may seem difficult at first when you see yourself at a dead end, or even at a dead end. But there’s always that little loophole to change things and you can make a big difference for yourself.

2. Know your values

What do you enjoy most? Make a list of your top 5 values. Some examples are security, freedom, family, spiritual development, and learning. When setting your goals for 2024, compare your goals with your values. If the goal does not match any of your five most important values, you may reconsider or revise it.

The number should not discourage you; it should motivate you to do more than you have always dreamed of.

3. Know your needs

Unmet needs can prevent you from living authentically. Take care of yourself. Do you need to confess, to be right, to be in control, to be loved? Many people have lived their lives without fulfilling their dreams and most of them end up being stressed, or even depressed, for that matter. Make a list of your four main needs and satisfy them before it’s too late!

4. Know your passion

You know who you are and what you value in life. Obstacles such as doubt and lack of enthusiasm will only get in the way, but they will not hinder your chance to become the person you should be. Express yourself and honor the people who inspired you to become the person you want to be.

5. Live from the inside out

Increase your awareness of your inner wisdom by thinking regularly in silence. Communication with nature. Take a deep breath to calm your distracted mind. For most US city dwellers, it is difficult to find the peace and tranquility that we want, even at home. In my case, I often sit in a dimly lit room and play classical music. There is a sound, yes, but the music calms the wild beast.

6. Honoring your strengths

What are your positive qualities? What special talents do you have? The third list is this: if you are stuck, ask your relatives to help you identify them. Are you creative, witty, and talented with your own hands? And you have to seek ways to express your authentic self through your strengths. You can increase your self-confidence when you share what you know with others.

7. Serving others

When you live authentically, you may find that you develop a sense of being connected. When you are faithful to who you are, love your purpose, and give your talents to the world around you, you are serving what you came to share with others—your soul and your essence. The rewards of sharing your gift with loved ones are already satisfying, even more so if it is in the eyes of a stranger who can appreciate what you did to him.

Self-improvement is a kind of work that is worthwhile. It should not always be in the confines of the office building, or maybe in the four corners of your room. The difference lies in ourselves and how much we want to change for the better.
